TECHNICAL OPERATIONS LEADER

Focused on systems reliability, infrastructure setup, and troubleshooting across live production, distributed events, and e-commerce environments.

MY BACKGROUND

My background spans live production, business ownership, and technical operations across hardware, software, and systems infrastructure. I’ve worked in environments where reliability is critical, issues must be resolved in real time, and systems are expected to perform without failure.

That experience has naturally led me toward internal IT and systems support, where I can focus on helping teams stay productive, securing and maintaining infrastructure, and building reliable systems that scale with growth.

FIT FOR AUTHENTIC

Authentic is building a platform that depends on reliable internal systems, strong security practices, and the ability to move quickly as the company grows. That kind of environment requires someone who can take ownership, know when to move fast to solve problems, and build structure where needed.

WHAT I BRING

Photo from on-site system install

  • Ownership of systems: I naturally take responsibility for keeping systems running and improving them over time

  • Fast, effective troubleshooting: Years of diagnosing and resolving issues in live environments where failure isn’t an option

  • Hands-on technical range: Experience across hardware, software, networking, and AV systems

  • Startup-style adaptability: Comfortable working without rigid structure, prioritizing what matters, and learning quickly

  • Service-oriented mindset: I focus on supporting people, not just technology. Clear communication and responsiveness come first

WHAT I DO BEST

KEEP SYSTEMS UP AND RUNNING

I’ve spent years responsible for environments where downtime is immediately visible. I prioritize reliability, quick diagnosis, and practical solutions that work.

BUILD AND MANAGE TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENTS

From AV systems and networking in live production to managing websites and business infrastructure, I design and maintain systems that support real-world use.

SOLVE PROBLEMS WITHOUT HAND-HOLDING

Whether troubleshooting hardware, debugging systems, or integrating new tools, I’m used to figuring things out independently and driving issues to resolution.

SUPPORT TEAMS EFFECTIVELY

I understand that IT is a service role. I focus on clear communication, fast response times, and making technology easier for people to use.

There’s so much I could say about this talented man. Isaac Pettit is truly one of the smartest people I’ve ever met.

SIMPLE SCALES, COMPLEX FAILS

MY APPROACH TO IT

I focus on building IT environments that are reliable, secure, and easy to manage without unnecessary complexity.

  • Keep systems simple and dependable

  • Document and improve as I go

  • Secure access and reduce risk where it matters most

  • Look for opportunities to automate repetitive work

  • Prioritize based on real business impact

CURRENT FOCUS

I’m actively expanding my knowledge to support modern IT environments

  • Identity & access management (SSO, provisioning, tools like Okta)

  • Device management and endpoint security (MDM concepts)

  • IT security best practices and compliance fundamentals

  • Automation and scripting to improve efficiency

I’m looking to bring a hands-on, ownership-driven approach to IT at a growing company like Authentic. This includes supporting your team, strengthening your systems, and helping your infrastructure scale with confidence.

LIVE PRODUCTION & AV CASE STUDY

Building and Maintaining Mission-Critical Systems in Live Production Environments

In live production, there is no margin for failure. Systems must function reliably in real time, and when issues occur, they must be diagnosed and resolved immediately. In my role as a Live Production Director, I was responsible for designing, operating, and maintaining complex technical environments involving AV systems, networking, and hardware integration, ensuring seamless execution under high-pressure conditions.

THE CHALLENGE

Live Production Environments Combine Multiple Interdependent Systems

  • Video feeds

  • Audio routing

  • Switching systems

  • Networking and signal distribution

  • Recording and streaming infrastructure

Additionally

  • Equipment varies by venue and setup

  • Time for testing is often limited

  • Systems must be reconfigured quickly for different events

  • Failures are visible immediately to end users (the audience)

Any single point of failure can disrupt the entire operation. Unlike traditional IT environments, there is no downtime window. Issues must be resolved instantly, often while systems are actively in use.

MY ROLE

I Own the End-to-End Technical Operation for Live Events

  • Designing system layouts and signal flow

  • Configuring and integrating AV and supporting technology

  • Ensuring system readiness prior to events

  • Monitoring systems in real time during execution

  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues under pressure

  • Adapting setups based on environment and constraints

KEY ACTIONS & APPROACH

DESIGNING FOR RELIABILITY

I built systems with redundancy and simplicity in mind, reducing single points of failure wherever possible and ensuring that critical components had backup options.

REAL-TIME TROUBLESHOOTING

During live events, I continuously monitored system performance and quickly diagnosed issues across hardware, connections, and signal flow—often resolving problems without interrupting the production.

SYSTEM INTEGRATION

I worked across multiple technologies simultaneously, ensuring that audio, video, and control systems operated as a unified environment.

RAPID ADAPTATION

Each event required adjustments based on venue, equipment, and requirements. I regularly reconfigured systems under tight timelines while maintaining reliability.

CLEAR COMMUNICATION UNDER PRESSURE

I coordinated with team members and stakeholders during live operations, providing clear direction and updates to keep everything aligned.

RESULTS & IMPACT

  • Consistently delivered reliable live productions with minimal disruptions

  • Reduced downtime through proactive system design and fast issue resolution

  • Built repeatable setups that improved efficiency across events

  • Maintained performance in high-pressure, zero-failure environments

  • Earned trust as the go-to person for solving technical problems quickly and effectively

RELEVANCE TO IT OPERATIONS

THIS EXPERIENCE DIRECTLY TRANSLATES TO MODERN IT ENVIRONMENTS

  • System reliability: Designing and maintaining environments where uptime is critical

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnosing issues across hardware, software, and connectivity

  • Infrastructure thinking: Understanding how interconnected systems behave

  • End-user support: Resolving issues quickly to minimize disruption

  • Ownership: Taking full responsibility for system performance and outcomes

WHILE THE TOOLS DIFFER, THE CORE RESPONSIBILITY IS THE SAME: ENSURING SYSTEMS WORK RELIABLY AND SUPPORTING THE PEOPLE WHO DEPEND ON THEM
